TAHOE/TRUCKEE, Calif. and#8212; The Nevada Wing of the Civil Air Patrol will once again participate in the annual “Wreaths Across America” program with observances in Fernley, Las Vegas and Winnemucca, Nev. This event honors our nation’s fallen soldiers, sailors and airmen. Taking place at locations throughout the United States, including the Northern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Fernley, Nev., the ceremonies begin simultaneously at all locations Saturday, Dec. 10, 2011, at 9 a.m. If you would like to help the Wreaths Across America program, visit and download the form, or call 530-587-4811 before Nov. 1, 2011. Each wreath costs $15 and a portion is tax-deductible. The local Civil Air Patrol receives a portion of each donation to help the Cadet Program. Contributions are used to help Cadets with transportation costs to, as far away as Florida, but mostly to and from Nellis A.F.B., or Southern California venues.
