TRUCKEE, Calif. and#8212; Public relations and marketing pro Wrenn Johns was recently hired by Switchback PR + Marketing as an account executive.

Johnsand#8217; responsibilities include assisting with account work and client relations, media relations, new business development, and as acting co-event chair for Switchback PR + Marketing events.

Johns has been an active member of the Truckee-Tahoe community since her move to the Lake Tahoe area in 2004. After receiving a bachelorand#8217;s degree in public relations from Quinnipac University, Hamden, Conn., Johns moved to the West coast for a change of pace. She has held hospitality managerial and marketing positions at local businesses. Her successes include increasing brand recognition and revenue by developing and overseeing advertising and marketing campaigns through successful implementation of social media and traditional public relations methods. She has helped coordinate and plan successful fundraising events, while creating alliances with local nonprofit organizations and media outlets. Johns recently graduated from the Truckee North Tahoe Leadership program, and is an active volunteer.
