Tahoe City Sunshine Letter

Fall is my favorite time of year. The lake is calm and free of speeding boats, the bustle of summer is behind us and the anticipation of a deep, prosperous winter is on the horizon.

This Fall it is especially nice thanks to the tremendous efforts of our local Cal Trans road construction crews. Because of these hardworking men and women the drives into Downtown Tahoe City from the north and east are fantastically smooth. The traffic delays of the last month or so were well worth it!

With the cold months fast approaching and thousands of visitors about to descend on the region for winter fun we are proud to see such high quality work completed on our local highway system. Not only does the project help control erosion and protect the water quality of the lake and river, it helps make our community look polished, clean and vibrant.

On behalf of the Tahoe City Downtown Association Board of Directors and its 100-plus business and property-owner members, a heart-fel thank You to the workers, managers, executives and everyone involved in making the Highway 89 and 28 repaving and water quality projects a success!
