Tahoe Community Nursery School 2011 Fall Registration tonight
TAHOE CITY, Calif. and#8212; Tahoe Community Nursery School will hold registration for the 2011-2012 school year Thursday, April 21, 4-6 p.m., Tahoe Community Nursery School (TCNS), adjacent to Christ the King Lutheran Church at the top of Dollar Hill on Highway 28. Registration is open to children ages three and four; children must be three years old by Dec. 2, 2011. Those interested in enrolling children will be served on a first-come, first-served basis.
For students currently enrolled in the 3-year-old class, registration is automatic for the 4-year-old class and attendance is not required on the registration day.
and#8220;Tahoe Community Nursery School is based on the idea that fun is essential to our learning, well?being, and general outlook on life,and#8221; says Angela Bruno, who took over as the schooland#8217;s director last fall. Bruno has taught at TCNS for several years.
and#8220;We want children to enjoy themselves, to express themselves, to play outdoors and to know about the community. Above all, we try to create a memorable and fun experience for all children,and#8221; Bruno adds. In addition to Bruno, the school employs three other teachers.
For 3-year-olds, classes are held twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays: 4-year-olds attend school three times a week on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Because of the popularity of the school, teachers advise interested families classes will fill quickly. While the school is located at the Lutheran Church, the school does not have a religious affiliation and is non-denominational.
