Tahoe Donner artist Meredith Niles has painting exhibition at The Lodge

An exhibition of original Meredith Niles Paintings is now on display at The Lodge in Tahoe Donner, 12850 Northwoods Blvd., Truckee, Calif. The paintings may be viewed everyday 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. throughout the main floor until October 2009. Niles, known for her large still life acrylic works, has turned her attention outdoors, capturing the mountains and lakescapes of both Donner and Lake Tahoe in oil.

Meredith Niles states, and#8220;After living here for a decade, I am still torn between beautiful sugar pines as subject matter and the incredible vistas we are lucky enough to see everyday.and#8221; Niles has been working with interior designers and architects on specific commissions for clients. She comments, and#8220;It is inspiring to bring to life the favorite still life images or Tahoe locations of my collectors, and it is incredibly fun when they want the paintings to fill huge walls!and#8221;

From art gallery owner in Santa Barbara, to working for ArtNews Magazine in New York, Nilesand#8217; career has come full circle to full time Tahoe artist. Meredith has been featured twice in Tahoe Quarterly Magazine and is looking forward to being mentioned in their special 10th Anniversary Issue this August.
