Tahoe Donner purchases new Pisten Bully grooming machines

TRUCKEE, Calif. – Tahoe Donner Downhill Ski Area and Cross Country Ski Center are proud to announce the addition of two new Pisten Bully grooming machines to their winter operations. These top-of-the-line machines will provide a significant improvement to both the cross-country ski center and downhill ski area by enabling staff to groom more trails in less time on a daily basis.
Guests of Tahoe Donner Cross Country Center may now enjoy tracks groomed by the same machine that set the tracks at the 2012 FIS Nordic World Championships. The Pisten Bully Nordic 400 is the latest and greatest Nordic track setting machine and was custom-built for Tahoe Donner Cross Country Ski Center with an extra 45-gallon diesel fuel tank, for a total fuel capacity of 100 gallons. With this extra volume, the grooming staff can manicure the tracks for extensive amounts of time.
Tahoe Donner Downhill Ski Area’s new Pisten Bully is a 400 Park model; this machine not only sets incredible corduroy, but will help groomers construct a state-of-the-art terrain park.
