Tahoe Forest Health Systemand#8217;s Cancer Care Group Summer Walk and Talks announced

TRUCKEE, Calif. and#8212; The new summer Walk and Talk Group is a specially designed program that combines exercise and group support for cancer patients. Led by Dr. Kirk Ditterich, clinical psychologist for Tahoe Cancer Center and Liz Schenk, exercise coordinator, Tahoe Center for Health and Sports Performance, this session will meet Mondays through Aug. 29, 2011.

Each session begins with a 15-minute discussion about health and wellness, followed by a walk ranging from 10 to 45 minutes, depending on personal ability. Exercise, fresh air and social interaction is helpful for physical and mental health.
