Tahoe Forest Health Systems welcomes pediatricians
TAHOE/TRUCKEE, Calif. and#8212; Tahoe Forest Health System (TFHS) is pleased to announce that pediatricians, Deborah Brown, MD; Christopher Arth, MD, FACP and Else Uglum, MD, who have a longtime commitment to caring for infants and children in Truckee/Tahoe, are now part of the Tahoe Forest MultiSpecialty Clinics Pediatric Office, formerly North Lake Pediatrics. Their offices are in the same location at 10956 Donner Pass Road, Ste. 130 in Truckee.
Board certified in pediatrics, Dr. Brown completed her medical education at the Medical College of Virginia (1985) and her pediatric residency training at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas (1988). Since 1994, Dr. Brown has developed her pediatric patient base in Truckee as an active staff member at Tahoe Forest Hospital (TFH) and pediatrician with the former North Lake Pediatric Group. She is also a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Christopher Arth, MD, FACP has been a pediatrician in the Truckee area for 32 years, holding numerous committee positions with TFH such as TFH chief of staff (1988) and chief quality assurance committee member (1985-1987). Currently he is the chief of obstetrics and pediatrics at TFH. Dr. Arth is also a voluntary professor of pediatrics at the University of California Davis, where he also earned his medical degree in 1976. He completed his residency at Childrenand#8217;s Hospital, Oakland, Calif. (1978) and the University of California, San Francisco (1979).
Dr. Else Uglum has practiced pediatrics in Truckee since 1995 immediately following the completion of her residency program in pediatrics from Stanford University Hospital (1995). Dr. Uglum earned her medical degree in 1992 from Jefferson Medical College, Philadelphia, Pa. (1992). She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and is a published author.
Tahoe Forest MultiSpecialty Clinics Pediatric Office specializes in infant, child, adolescent and young adult medical care. Dr. Brown, Dr. Arth and Dr. Uglum are board certified in pediatrics and welcoming new patients. Most insurance is accepted. Appointments can be made by calling 530-587-3523.
