Tahoe League for Charity hosts monthly luncheon and speaker series

TAHOE/TRUCKEE, Calif. and#8212; On April 9, Tahoe League for Charity, a community based nonprofit organization serving North Lake Tahoe and Truckee presented its first monthly luncheon and speaker series featuring Lisa Wallace, Michele Prestowitz and Jeannette Halderman from the Truckee River Watershed Council. The Truckee River Watershed Council was founded in 1996 with the first Truckee River Day. Today they have completed 60 restoration and conservation projects in the Truckee River Watershed area and are currently planning restoration projects in Martis Valley.

Guests are welcome to attend the next Luncheon and Speaker Series on Monday, May 14, 11:30 a.m. at Jakeand#8217;s on the Lake in Tahoe City. Cost is $17 for lunch and speaker. Call Carole Eichhorn at 530-546-5650 for reservations.
