Tahoe LUNA Chix host triathlon, mountain biking skills clinics

TAHOE/TRUCKEE, Calif. and#8212; Are you ready to Tri? The Tahoe LUNA Chix want to help you transition into your first (or 50th) triathlon with ease. Learn how to transition smoothly, get tips on efficiency and connect with a group of inspiring women to help you from the start through the finish line. The Tahoe LUNA Chix will host a free and#8220;Womenand#8217;s Only Triathlonand#8221; clinic Sunday, June 26 from 9 a.m. to noon. Meet at the West End of Donner Lake and make sure to bring your swim, bike, and running gear. All participants in this free Clinic receive a 10 percent discount on any Big Blue Adventure race, including the Donner Lake Triathlon July 17. For more information, e-mail tahoelunachix@gmail.com.

Join reigning World Cup Champion, LUNA Pro, and Truckee resident Katerina Nash for the third Annual Cross Country Skills Clinic. Participants will work on technical mountain biking skills that will help push their limits in cross country mountain biking. The clinic will be held at Northstar-at-Tahoe from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 28. Meet at the gondola. Clinic participants are asked to bring a $15 donation for the Breast Cancer Fund. A LUNA goody bag will be included with clinic registration. Participation in the clinic will not require a lift ticket or downhill pass.
