Tahoe Maritime Museum announces new exhibits and marketing associate

HOMEWOOD and#8212; The Tahoe Maritime Museum is pleased to announce Melody Rebbeck joined the staff in the new position of Exhibits and Marketing Associate. Her responsibilities will include managing the revolving Exhibits Program at the museum in Homewood and the annex in Truckee. She will also manage marketing to include media relations, collateral marketing material, museum website, quarterly Tahoe Maritimeand#8217;s newsletter and advertising design.

Rebbeck and her husband Don live in Truckee. A native of San Jose, she is an honors graduate of San Jose State with a B.S. in Finance and worked in the Bay Area with firms like Apple, Echelon and Valin before moving to Tahoe six years ago. Most recently, Rebbeck worked in sales for the Best Western in Truckee and Booth Creek at Northstar-at-Tahoe. She has a strong record of professional achievement, and is an outgoing individual with lots of energy. An active volunteer in the community, Rebbeck was named Volunteer of the Year in 2004 for Truckee and Citizen of the Year in 2006 by the North Lake Tahoe Resort Association.

Her passion for Tahoe matches the Museumand#8217;s mission to stimulate and interest for the local community and visitors with an understanding of Lake Tahoeand#8217;s rich maritime history through the highest standards of historic preservation, innovative interpretation and public education.
