But pursuing a successful business career demands so much time she is forced to be content with listening to othersand#8217; tales about visits to exotic places. A turning point occurs during a long-overdue vacation to Florida, where she discovers a cryptic message, about a secret to the universe, sheds some pent-up inhibitions, and is strangely attracted to a gold bar from a sunken Spanish treasure galleon. Curiosity eventually leads her to Machu Picchu, the mysterious Lost City of the Incas. She is searching for excitement, but she isnand#8217;t prepared for what she encounters there.
Journey of the Lost Princess cleverly interweaves fiction and non-fiction, drawing upon history, years of research, and a lifetime of experiences. As the early chapters develop the main characters, readers are subtly drawn in. Journey of the Lost Princess contains its share of adventure and romance along with fascinating insight into past cultures that transformed our world.
What actually happened to ancient civilizations that seemed to vanish even more quickly than they arose from obscurity and how could they have been conquered by cultures less advanced in many ways? How did they accomplish engineering feats that defy universal laws of physics, and were their secrets really lost to our modern world? These are just a few of the intriguing mysteries that will capture your attention in this book.
