TAHOE, Calif. and#8212; Tahoe City Downtown Association, North Tahoe Business Association and The Incline Community Business Association are partnering together for the annual Shop Local Program. The program is easy, shoppers pick up a card at a participating business and start shopping. For every $20 spent at a participating retailer a sticker will be added to the shoppers card. Shoppers with three or more stickers can turn in their card and be entered in a drawing for various prizes, cards with 13 or more stickers will also be entered into a drawing for the one of the grand prizes.

To encourage more people to shop locally this holiday season they are looking for retailers to take part in this program by being a participating business and/or donating a raffle prize. Please call 530-583-3348 or e-mail TCDA@visittahoecity.com and theyand#8217;ll deliver cards and stickers for the contest.

Researchers have proven that for every $100 spent in independently owned stores, $68 returns to the community through taxes, payroll, and other expenditures. Spend it out of town or online and there is no benefit to our community. Letand#8217;s encourage shopping locally this holiday season.
