TGFS Optimist All Stars is holding try-outs for the 16U tournament fast-pitch girls’ softball team for highly competitive players from Truckee, North Tahoe, Incline Village and Reno, Nev., and surrounding areas. This team will compete in Northern Nevada and Northern California Regions. Try outs May 29 and June 5, 3-5 p.m., Truckee Regional Softball Field, Truckee. The North Lake Tahoe Chamber of Commerce will host their next Chamber Business Mixer at the UC Davis Tahoe City Field Station (also known as the Historic Fish Hatchery) Tuesday, May 31, 2400 Lake Forest Road, Tahoe City.Attendees will mix and mingle during the mixer from 5 to 7 p.m. with appetizers and a no-host bar.
