Truckee Arts League to support new Performing Arts CenterA group of arts organizations and performing art professionals based in the greater Truckee area have formed the Truckee Arts League to support the building of a Performing Arts Center at the Community Arts Center (Old Rec Center) in Downtown Truckee, owned and operated by the Truckee Donner Recreation andamp; Park District. Years of planning have culminated in a critical decision faced by the Board of the District on how to move forward with developing plans. The League is encouraging all local arts professionals and patrons to attend the District Board meeting at the Community Recreation Center, 8924 Donner Pass Road, Truckee, at the Pioneer Center round-a-bout, Thursday, Dec. 8, 6 p.m. to show your support or just learn more. The League will be having a strategy meeting at the Coffeebar on Jibboom Street Dec. 8, 3 p.m. before the District meeting.
