Project Graduation is holding a fundraising rummage sale on Sunday, May 24 at Tahoe Lake Elementary School. Clean out the closets and garage and donate to this very popular event. Proceeds will benefit North Tahoe High School senior class of 2009s trip, funding trip scholarships, transportation, and chaperones. Donations of used items in good condition are being accepted now. Acceptable items include furniture, household and kitchen, sports and recreation, baby items, clothing, CD’s, DVD’s, videos, art etc. Please no computers or mattresses. For information call 583-1089.
Only three sponsorship slots remain for the Kings Beach Music on the Beach concert series. Sponsorships are $350 each and include exclusive presented by sponsorship of a concert, booth and banner space at the sponsored show, live recognition of the business as presenting sponsor throughout the show and recognition in the NTBA eNewsletter and Bay to Bay Newsletter.Sponsorship of the series is a great opportunity to get your business name out in front of an appreciative crowd, said Cheri Sprenger, executive director of the North Tahoe Business Association, which hosts the series. The free music series kicks off Thursday, July 2 and runs every Thursday, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., until Aug. 13 at the Kings Beach State Recreation Area. Tickets are available for the 35th Annual Soroptimist Wine and Restaurant Faire. Join the ladies of Soroptimist Saturday, June 6 and enjoy a variety of wines local and afar. Trails and Vistas is seeking outgoing and personable volunteers to be trail leaders at this years event Sept. 12 and 13, 2009. Host sponsor, Tahoe Donner Equestrian Center, will offer a beautiful hike among majestic aspen groves, towering pines and grassy meadows. Trail leaders become key outdoor and artistic interpreters as they lead groups of 30 hikers over a three-mile single track trail stopping at eight artistic venues.
