This yearandamp;#8217;s feature band will be andamp;#8220;Dead Winter Carpentersandamp;#8221; with their blends of rock andamp;#8217;n roll, folk, roots, country, bluegrass, ragtime, blues and reggae music. Brats and other barbecue items will be available for sale. There will also be a silent auction. Entry fee includes a commemorative tasting glass. With summer weather finally in the forecast, Tahoe City is ready to kick off the season with four days of fantastic events, all part of the Annual Heart andamp; Solstice Festival, June 16-19. Discover wines with a view and Downtown Tahoe City, June 18, noon-4 p.m., rain or shine. Sip shop and explore Tahoe City along its scenic, lakeside sidewalks while tasting wines and sampling delicious morsels from acclaimed Tahoe restaurants and caterers. Festivities include a Thursday evening Annual Solstice Stroll Classic Car Show, presented by the Kiwanis Club of North Lake Tahoe, sponsored by the Tahoe City Public Utility District and North Lake Auto Parts. Enjoy live music and vote for your favorite car while you stroll the main drag in Tahoe City, starting at 6 p.m. Persons interested in exhibiting their classic and vintage automobiles are encouraged to register for this event, which is free for participants and spectators. Parking along North Lake Boulevard in Tahoe City will be set aside for these vehicles. North Lake Auto Parts will be awarding prizes in various categories.
