Wednesday WOW are Black Diamond sessions for advanced to expert skiers to challenge and improve black diamond skiing on Feb. 6, 13, 27 and March 6, 13, and 20.The 3-Day Program, Feb. 24-26, is designed to help you break through to Black Diamond skiing or improve your Black Diamond skiing for advanced-intermediate to expert skiers. Spend three days mixing it up – challenging your mind and body. Ski, laugh, focus under the guidance of the WOW team. Saturday night orientation will be held Feb. 23. Meet at 8 a.m. on Sunday to organize and confirm groups. Using the same revitalized approach to coaching as the Wednesday sessions, you’ll have the advantage of more time for fun and to progressively achieve your goals. Meet the team the night before to socialize, organize ski groups and cover questions. Is your entire group novice or intermediate skiers? You can have your own WOW at the pace you want to go. Gather eight or more women and you have a group. Even though it’s customized to what you want, the price remains the same. (Booking requires payment for a minimum of eight participants.) Standard cancellation policies apply.NASTC AIARE Certified Avalanche Level 1 ClassThis three-day intensive seminar follows the AIARE curriculum on basic avalanche safety, Feb. 8-10. It is designed to give students an understanding of avalanche formation, what are the factors and conditions that increase the likelihood of avalanche danger, “nature’s billboard” observation skills, the ability to use an avalanche transceiver and probe, companion rescue skills and how to dig a snow study pit. This is a minimum amount of know-how if you want to travel, ski or ride in the backcountry or sidecountry safely. There is time spent daily in the classroom and in the field.
