Tahoe TV launches exclusive Lake Tahoe app
Special to the Sun
TAHOE, Calif. – Tahoe TV, and its parent company, Destination Media Solutions, a digital media and content marketing company headquartered in Lake Tahoe, has announced the official launch of the Tahoe TV Lake Tahoe App, expanding its available platforms for valuable content about Lake Tahoe. The app provides users with locally focused and up-to-the minute information about Lake Tahoe, with current, timely and relevant content including live weather forecasts, live streaming webcams, resort/snow reports, recreation conditions, current event listings, and feature stories and video segments with insights on what to do, where to go, and what to see around the region.
Touted as “the daily dashboard for Lake Tahoe,” the new app integrates the top content from Tahoe TV’s popular website, Tahoetopia.com (www.tahoetopia.com) into a mobile-friendly format for use and access via popular smartphones and mobile devices.
“Our content has immediate and proven value to people who love Tahoe, particularly during winter months,” commented Eric Brandt, president of Destination Media Solutions and Tahoe TV. “With the app, no matter where you are – at home, in the office, in the car, or on the chairlift, you have access to key information to help you plan and enjoy your day or stay [in Lake Tahoe].”
Featured content on the Lake Tahoe App includes Tahoe’s largest collection of live webcams, Tahoe-specific weather forecasts and radar/satellite imagery, resort and snow conditions, videos, and an event calendar. Additional content includes news feeds and updates, a featured business directory, social sharing functions as well as exclusive offers and discounts to users via the soon to be released “Tahoe Deals” section.
“Our goal is to help connect visitors and locals with all the region has to offer,” said Brandt. “We’re here to share the Tahoe experience and the app is a big step in delivery.”
The Tahoe TV Lake Tahoe App is available for both iPhone and Android devices, and can be downloaded for $.99 on the App Store or Google Play. For downloads, screenshots and more information, visit the Lake Tahoe App page at http://www.tahoetopia.com/laketahoeapp.
