TRUCKEE, Calif. – The Lodge Restaurant & Pub has been honored with a Diner’s Choice Award by the popular food website and reservations resource OpenTable. The award is given to restaurants which receive the highest ratings from their guests, like this one from the holiday weekend:”Wow, were we surprised to find food this good so far from civilization! We normally eat at some of the best restaurants in the Bay Area and did not expect anything this good in the Tahoe area. Everything was great. My wife had the sea bass and I had the duck breast. Even the kids’ calamari was outstanding. The waiter was wonderfully attentive without being ‘too present.’ Highly recommend,” said the Feb. 16, 2012 review at http://www.opentable.com.The Lodge, which is one of two restaurants at Tahoe Donner, has worked hard to continually improve the guest experience. So it’s not surprising the staff there is pleased with this recognition.”We take guest feedback very seriously,” said Mike Peters, director of food and beverage for Tahoe Donner. “So when someone dines here and then posts an unsolicited, positive review on the Internet, it’s music to our ears.”The Lodge is located at 12850 Northwoods Blvd. in Truckee, adjacent to the Tahoe Donner Golf Course. For reservations, visit TahoeDonner.com or call 530-587-9455.- Submitted to aedgett@sierrasun.com
