The Notorious Mollie Forshay: A historical presentation

The Truckee Donner Historical Society hosts another historical presentation on Tuesday, Sept. 11, this time by author Karen Wright of Gold Hill, Nev.

Wright will discuss Mollie Forshay, a beautiful and notorious woman of the 1800s who was convicted as a murderess, cutting a swath of wild and wilful behavior from Reno to Elko to Winnemucca, on to Truckee and beyond.

Mollie was known both as a tart, and, after being pardoned for her murderous crime, a celebrity. Come out and learn more on this red-haired woman with a fiery temper to match. Who was Mollie Forshay? Find out, Tuesday, Sept. 11, from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Northwoods Clubhouse of Tahoe Donner, 11509 Northwoods Blvd., Truckee.
