‘This is Truckee’ photography show to open with reception

TRUCKEE, Calif. and#8212;-A festive opening reception for the Truckee Public Arts Commission’s new show and#8220;This is Truckee!and#8221; is scheduled for Friday, Feb. 10, 5-7 p.m., and will feature refreshments, awards and a chance to see Truckee through the eyes of your friends and neighbors. From kids to pets, skylines to parades, Donner Summit to the railroad tracks, and historical scenes to the present day, the exhibit showcases images by more than 35 photographers, both amateur and professional. They captured their views of quotidian life in our town, from every angle, at all seasons and all times of day and night. Photographers of all ages submitted entries, which will be on display through May at the Community Recreation Center off the Pioneer roundabout in Truckee.
