Three seriously funny comedians coming to Truckee

Once a year Truckee becomes the Comedy Capital of California when the annual Truckee-Donner Recreation andamp; Park District show, andamp;#8220;Donandamp;#8217;t Laugh With Your Mouth Full,andamp;#8221; blasts off at the Community Arts Center. andamp;#8220;You canandamp;#8217;t find a show this funny, with this many top comedians together on stage, anywhere outside of LA or New York,andamp;#8221; according to Diana Alouise, local owner of Shampoo Hair and Makeup Salon, and a former comedienne herself. Alouise is the talent scout, inviting personal friends and colleagues from all over the country. andamp;#8220;They love this show because it raises scholarship money for teens to attend summer camp and enrichment programs during the year, plus they enjoy a little r andamp; r in the Truckee-Tahoe area.andamp;#8221; The show line-up this year features Rick Dandamp;#8217;Elia as host and MC for live auction of local dates andamp;#8212; do you need your dog walked, your hair cut, or a dinner date with a local chef? Dandamp;#8217;Elia will sell you who or what you need! He is the author of andamp;#8220;How to Talk to a Yankee Fanandamp;#8221; and is currently appearing as the host and MC at Catch a Rising Star Comedy Club in the Silver Legacy Casino, Reno.Next up is Morgan Preston, a rising star from the Seattle area, and one of the most outspoken, in-your-face, andamp;#8220;I dare you not to laughandamp;#8221; comedians working today. Preston appears everywhere, from smoky bars to corporate venues, rodeos to television and even runs his own complete in-house production facility which was instrumental in raising more than $60,000 with a comedy show in 2005, benefiting victims of Hurricane Katrina.Back by popular demand, Jimmy Shubert delivers his andamp;#8220;tough loveandamp;#8221; comedy with such red-faced, seething intensity; youandamp;#8217;re guaranteed to be rolling in the aisles by the end of the show.
