Toastmasters: Sharpen speaking and leadership skills with Truckee’s two clubs

Then go and visit local Toastmasters clubs. There are now two clubs from which to choose. Toastmaster gives you the opportunity to improve your speaking and leadership skills. Since 1924, more than four million people around the world have become more confident speakers and leaders because of their participation in Toastmasters. Toastmasters International is a world leader in communication and leadership development.

The mission of a Toastmasters club is to provide a mutually supportive and positive learning environment in which every member has the opportunity to develop communication and leadership skills, which in turn foster self-confidence and personal growth.

Toastmastersand#8217; Carmen Carr recently earned the highest designation within Toastmasters and#8220;Distinguished Toastmaster.and#8221;

Toastmaster provided the opportunity and environment for Carr to present more than 50 speeches and become involved in various leadership roles like club president and area governor, as well as starting a new club from ground up which today is the new Truckee noon club and#8220;Truckee Talkers,and#8221; chartered on April 15, 2011.
