Toys for Tots off to a great start in Tahoe City and Truckee

TAHOE/TRUCKEE, Calif. and#8212; The Toys for Tots campaign got started with two local kick off parties sponsored by Coldwell Banker and Better Homes and Gardens real estate companies. Appetizers, desserts, beverages and a visit from Santa were enjoyed by all who went to Coldwell Banker in Truckee and Tahoe City for the events. More importantly, people from the north and west shores of Lake Tahoe and Truckee communities generously donated many toys. Elaine Durazo of Coldwell Banker and the local coordinator officer for the Tahoe region, has volunteered her time to organize efforts with the U.S. Marine Corps Toys for Tots program to collect and distribute toys to local children in need. and#8220;At a time when so many in our communities are struggling, it is a gift to be able to bring such happiness to those who are going without this holiday seasonand#8221; said Mike Lombardi the manager at Coldwell Bankerand#8217;s offices in the Tahoe/Truckee region.
