Trail running guru to sign books at Alpenglow Sports in Tahoe City

TAHOE CITY, Calif. and#8212; In celebration of the Western States 100 mile Endurance Run, and in conjunction with the Lake Tahoe Adventure Sports Week sponsored by Big Blue Adventure, Alpenglow Sports and Salomon have arranged a book signing with trail running guru Adam Chase. Please join Alpenglow Sports, 415 North Lake Blvd., Tahoe City, Friday, June 24, 3-4:30 p.m. for and#8220;The Ultimate Guide to Trail Runningand#8221; book signing. The first 50 participants will receive free copies and everyone is welcome to chat with Chase about his accolades and experience.

Adam Chase has been sponsored by Salomon for a decade, first as an adventure racer and now as captain and manager of its trail racing team and the US BrandBassador. He serves as president of the American Trail Running Association and is the Trail Editor of Running Times magazine. Chase is the co-author of and#8220;The Ultimate Guide to Trail Runningand#8221; and drew on his background running trails in Boulder, Colo., where he was raised.

Chase enjoys the nature and quiet of trails and the health benefits of running them. He leads clinics on trail running, adventure racing, snowshoeing, and is happy to share his experiences. When not running trails or writing about the sport, Adam practices tax law in Boulder, Colo. He has competed in more than 100 marathons, ultras and endurance races all over the world, with podium finishes in many. Mostly, however, Chase does it all because it is just plain fun.
