TAHOE/TRUCKEE, Calif. and#8212; Dr. Barry Triestman D.C. has completed the Titleist Performance Institute’s medical certification. This training will enable him to get golfers back to play faster, increase golf performance, and decrease future injuries. Titleist’s goal in organizing the certifications and mytpi.com is to get people to play longer in life, more games, have more fun and therefore sell more golf balls. They sold 850 million golf balls in 2011 world wide.
This certification enables Dr. Triestman to better understand:
· Golf swing faults like early extension;
· Golf physical limitations, which include limited range of motion and lack of stabilization;
· Injuries like spinal disk and arthritis;
· How swing faults effect physical limitations and injuries;
· How injuries effect physical limitations and the golf swing.
The TPI physical assessment, or selective functional movement assessment, identifies physical restrictions that may be limiting your swing as well as any potential causes for pain. If you’ve been battling pain during the round or feel your swing is limited due to a physical restriction the TPI assessment can help you.
This complete array of tests is usually reserved for the best golfers in the world. In 2011, 31 out of 41 tour winners had a Titleist Performance Institute team working with them.
Dr. Triestman’s knowledge and training will help players of all skill levels correct body limitations that may be due to old injuries and other limitations. The combination of the active release techniques and the TPI certification brings care to a higher level. Dr. Triestman said, and#8220;Don’t get good and#8212; get great!and#8221;
