Truckee Chili Cookoff tickets available

TRUCKEE, Calif. and#8212; The Truckee Sunrise Rotary Club announced tickets to the 3rd Annual Truckee Chili Cookoff are now available.

The Truckee Chili Cookoff will be held Sunday, June 26, 11 a.m. at the Truckee Regional Park.

Tickets for unlimited chili tasting are $10 for adults and free for children under 12, available from the California Welcome Center in the old Depot, any Sunrise Rotarian and at http://www.TruckeeChiliCookoff.org.

Tickets will also be available at the event.

This community fundraiser will provide a day of family fun with chili tasting, non-stop entertainment, food and beverages and a host of activities for adults and children alike.

The areaand#8217;s best chili cooks will compete for top honors in these categories: Restaurants, Nonprofits and Individuals plus Best Overall. In addition, a Peopleand#8217;s Choice award will recognize the chili garnering the most votes from attendees and there will be an award for best cooking team theme.

A panel of area dignitaries will judge the chili and make the awards.

All proceeds benefit Truckee-North Tahoe programs addressing the needs of youth, economically disadvantaged and elderly. The Truckee Sunrise Rotary Club has supported the community since 1993.
