Truckee Donner Chamber partners with Town of Truckee for signage workshop

TRUCKEE, Calif. and#8212; Do you sometimes wonder what the Town of Truckee regulations are regarding signage? Do you have concerns about signage for your business? If so, plan to attend a Signage Workshop co-sponsored by the Truckee Donner Chamber of Commerce and the Town of Truckee. The workshop will be held Wednesday, Oct. 6 at Truckee Town Hall, 6-8 p.m.

See and#8220;before and afterand#8221; photos of signs over the years in Truckee. Hear from Town Planning Department staff regarding the general philosophy on signage and standards for signage, including some examples of signs fitting the design standards. Learn about the permit process and details regarding temporary signage permits.

The next step? A process to update the development code, including the signage ordinances, will begin this fall. Learn how to get involved including public workshops and hearings, when and how you can provide verbal and written comments and how to get regular e-mail notifications.
