Truckee Donner Land Trust launches new, interactive website

TRUCKEE, Calif. and#8212; The Truckee nonprofit responsible for protecting more than 22,000 acres of land in the Truckee Donner region has launched a new website.

The Truckee Donner Land Trust site, http://www.tdlandtrust.org, features interactive maps, trail map downloads, updated land conservation projects, donation tools, volunteer information, and the ability for Land Trust staff to make updates to their website.

and#8220;This new website is all about our recreational users, volunteers and donors and#8211; people who care about protecting and enjoying local public lands,and#8221; said Perry Norris, executive director of the Truckee Donner Land Trust. and#8220;Also, we can now update our website ourselves, which saves valuable operational dollars that will go toward funding crucial acquisitions.and#8221;

The website re-design was made possible by a grant form the Truckee Tahoe Community Foundation. Truckee-based marketing and graphic design firm SmallPond Studio was chosen to design and develop the content management system website. SmallPondand#8217;s content management system is designed to be flexible and affordable for Truckee Tahoe businesses and nonprofits.

The Truckee Donner Land Trust preserves and protects historic, recreational and scenic open spaces in the greater Truckee Donner region. The Land Trust works with landowners, federal, state and local governments, and the public-at-large, to create win-win situations for private and public interests.
