We want to expand the event into a fun, year round, once a month chance for people to come out and experience all that downtown Truckee has to offer,andamp;#8221; said Riverside Studios partner and clothing designer Heather River. Each First Friday will have a different theme or activity. In November, patrons will be invited to taste yummy holiday food and drink. They will be inspired to collect andamp;#8220;A Taste of Truckeeandamp;#8221; recipe cards throughout downtown from participating merchants and restaurants. andamp;#8220;We wanted to share favorite, easy holiday recipes with our community for the relaunch of First Friday,andamp;#8221; said Jo-Anne Kramer, of Moe, Joe andamp; Zoe. andamp;#8220;Some of the merchants will be paired with downtown restaurants. Some of us are going to share personal favorites.andamp;#8221; The relaunch will coincide with the opening of downtownandamp;#8217;s new sidewalk. The purpose of the TDMA is to preserve and extol Truckeeandamp;#8217;s unique history as well as to promote its lively and varied business community. First Friday aims to do just that by giving the community another opportunity to think, buy, give and enjoy locally. Several new businesses have opened downtown in 2011 and they want to meet the locals. Among them are Bolam Gallery, Best Pies, Mountain Home Center, Church Street Deli, Art Junkie, Art Obsessions, Trokay Caf, and coming soon, Bonzia Coffee Co.
