Truckee Elementary School to offer Parent Institute for Quality Education program

TRUCKEE, Calif. and#8212; The program, which lasts nine weeks, is free to parents. Parents who participate learn how to create a positive and lasting educational environment at home using a number of proven academic success tools: dedicating a home study location and time of day for homework; creating ongoing dialog with their kids surrounding their academic successes and challenges; discussing childrenand#8217;s college expectations and more. Classes are offered in English and Spanish.

Note: All parents who graduate from this nine-week program will receive a certificate entitling their children to conditional admittance to any California State University campus.

First meeting is Sept. 13 at 6 p.m. at Truckee Elementary School. Take this wonderful opportunity to support your childrenand#8217;s future.
