Truckee Elementary student receives literacy award

TRUCKEE, Calif. and#8212;-Truckee Elementary School third grader Conner Davis from Mrs. T. Anderson’s class received the Sunrise Rotary Literacy Award for academic achievement Tuesday, Jan. 10 with his family in attendance. He is the first third grader to read more than 1,000,000 words this year. The Literacy Award is chosen by third grade classroom teachers. Mrs. Anderson also attended. A $25 cash award was given as well.
