TRUCKEE, Calif. – The Truckee Home & Building Show has grown to three exciting events: the 19th annual Truckee Home & Building Show, the fifth annual Regional Green Building Symposium and the inaugural Sierra Recreation Expo, all taking place Memorial Day Weekend.Nineteen years of bringing together everything you need to build, remodel, redecorate and landscape your mountain home has made the Truckee Home & Building Show the preferred stop for second-homeowners and local, full-time residents as they explore innovative and interesting applications to expand their home environment.At the Home Show you will find everything from the latest in high-tech home entertainment systems to the greenest technology for low voltage snow melt systems -Garage doors, cabinets and flooring, right alongside log home packages and central vacuum systems.Learn about the secrets to successful landscaping in the Sierra climate and seek out interesting home dcor ideas. From decking to roofing and bear bins to countertops … check out insulation, woodstoves, window coverings, sunrooms, saunas, spas, windows and doors.Talk to specialists in painting, home design, pest control, remodeling, plumbing, electrical, heating and cooling, green building, solar, kitchens and baths. Truckee Donner Public Utility District will be on hand to answer questions about energy and water efficiency. Pick up many free energy saving devices at the PUD’s display.
Over the last decade the Home Show has been introducing the newest innovations in sustainable living and green building systems and materials. The 2011 event is no exception as CATT (the Contractors Association of Truckee Tahoe) hosts the fifth annual Regional Green Building Symposium. The schedule is packed full of interesting workshops that start every half hour for two full days during the Truckee Home & Building Show.
