Fundraiser for Espinoza family, Saturday, May 29, 2010 3-9 p.m. at the Old Middle School in Truckee (Sierra Mountain Community Education Center). Please come help the family at a fun afternoon fundraiser to pay for the hospital bills a funeral costs after the loss of their 19-year-old daughter Elisa. There will be lots of great homemade Mexican food and a big raffle. For monetary donations please contribute at Plumas Bank. Thanks to all local community businesses who contributed!

InnerRhythms is hosting a huge multi-family sale of gently used household goods, clothing and stuff. Join them for music, food and entertainment to benefit InnerRhythms, a 501(3)(c) nonprofit arts organization Saturday, May 29, 8 a.m.-6 p.m., 10046 SE River St., Truckee. Truckee Senior Center, 10040 Estates Drive May 29 and May 30, Garage sale. Not affiliated with Sierra Senior Services. Saturday 9-2 p.m., Sunday 9 a.m. until ? Small appliances, dishes, furniture, complete Beatles CDs, knick-knacks, televisions, 100+ movies DVDs and VCR movies women’s clothes all sizes, everything must go. Proceeds to help medical bills for sick cat, the Movie Lady’s best buddy. If it snows come to the Senior’s Dining Room.

As a community benefit, the Lions Club has partnered with the Truckee Little League for its major fundraiser, the Memorial Day Weekend Rummage Sale. All profits go to the Truckee Little League, in critical need of funding. Check out the PUD parking lot on Donner Pass Road in Truckee May 29 and 30. Electric power is on-site for testing electric appliances. Help the Lions Club help our community.

The Blue Onion Restaurant in Kings Beach is hosting a fundraising evening for the Striker U10 boys soccer team, Tuesday, June 1, 5-9 p.m. and includes food, music, beverages and raffle prizes.
