The Nevada County Public Health Department is offering seasonal flu vaccine at the Truckee Clinic on the following dates: Children only, Thursday, Nov. 3, Thursday, Dec. 1, 10 a.m.-noon and 1-4 p.m., Nevada County Public Health Department, Donner Room, 10075 Levon Ave., Truckee. Please bring your child’s immunization records with you. Lil’ Warriors kids yoga and karateStudio Tahoe presents Tahoe Mountain Martial Arts Yoga andamp; Karate Program: Lil’ Warriors for ages 3 and up. The program is a gift for children, teens and their parents. It is an uplifting, mind-expanding, non competitive, and fun way for youth to build strength, spirit, confidence and self-esteem. The Truckee Donner Recreation andamp; Park District’s indoor track and fitness area lets runners and walkers train comfortably all winter. The running club meets at Truckee’s Community Recreation Center at Donner Pass Road and Highway 89, Sunday mornings, 8 a.m.-noon. Absolute beginners and serious runners are welcome. Start at your own pace, and with encouragement and guidance work up to training for local 5K to marathon events. Free to TDRPD fitness members or $4 drop-in. Each month focuses on a different sport; November/December is volleyball, January is soccer, February is football and March is basketball. Thursdays, 3:30-4:30 p.m., cost is $32 per session. Must be enrolled in Kidz Club to register. Due to TTUSD bus scheduling, a partial day punch card for children who require supervision before or after these afternoon activities is available.
