Iand#8217;d like to put out a Thanks to someone. I have no name. My son was stuck in the snow at a lake near Truckee with his dog. My wife drove there to help and she got stuck. The man got both of them out. Iand#8217;d like to put out a big thanks!

The students, families and staff of Donner Trail Elementary School extend our gratitude to the community for the support of our 27th annual Thanksgiving Dinner and Fundraiser. This event is the primary fundraiser for our school in addition to being a great gathering for the local community.
First and foremost, thank you to Boreal Mountain Resort for generously hosting our event for the past seven years. Mike Mowris, Jody Churich and the Boreal staff have been especially accommodating and provide us with a perfect venue.
Donner Summit, Truckee and North Tahoe businesses and individuals continue to amaze us with their generosity. Donations of raffle prizes, auction items and services contribute greatly to a successful evening.
All proceeds from the event directly benefit the students. In the past, proceeds have been used for playground equipment: art, music and science programs; physical education; computers; field trips and more.
Community members came out in full force to enjoy a delicious traditional Thanksgiving dinner, hear the students sing and give thanks and participate in our silent and live auctions.
The Donner Trail School family is especially thankful to be part of a community that continually supports local children.
President, Donner Trail P.T.O.
The Truckee High School student body and staff would like to thank the Tahoe Sierra Board of Realtors and the Truckee Lions Club for their ongoing support of Red Ribbon Week. Red Ribbon Week is a nationally celebrated week, which promotes awareness of teen drug and alcohol use and focuses on different strategies of prevention through motivational speakers, marches, red ribbons on school fences, doors, athletic fields, and studentsand#8217; wrists, drug-free bumper sticker contests. We are so fortunate in this community to have organizations that care so much about our youth. The Tahoe Sierra Board of Realtors contributes generously to enable our students to have drug-free pencils, a banner in the gym, and drug-free motivational assemblies. The Truckee Lionand#8217;s Club sponsors a drug-free bumper sticker contest each year for both the high school and Alder Creek Middle School. The three winners at each school all receive savings bonds, and the first place winner has his/her winning bumper sticker made into a professional bumper sticker to give to friends and family. A big thank you to our wonderful support network. We appreciate you!
