Truckee well represented in Philharmonic performance
TRUCKEE, Calif. and#8212; The Reno Philharmonic Youth Orchestras Fall concert is Saturday, Nov. 12, 5 p.m. at the Pioneer Center for Performing Arts in Reno, Nev. Truckee will be proudly represented with 20 musicians. Emily McAmis, Sarah Brown, Robbie Radzville, Sophia Maclean, Ariana Kendall and Dylan Thomas are Youth String Symphonia members. Madison Richey, Teagan Pado, Addi Wingate, Madeleine Kydd, Eleanore Hamilton, Casey Jobe, Colin Deurlington, Skylar Harris and Kevin Cross are Youth Concert Orchestra members. Mirna Mejia, Sam Zabell, Zoe Willis, Camille Hartley, Kevin Cross and John Humphreys are Youth Symphony Orchestra members. These hard working, dedicated musicians auditioned last spring to win positions in these orchestras. They have been rehearsing every Monday afternoon in Reno. All of the violinists take private weekly violin lessons in Truckee from Liz Glattly. The trombonists study privately with Don Glattly.
