My name is Peter Broomhall and I enjoy many of the wonderful recreational opportunities that Truckee, Calif. has to offer such as skiing, biking, golfing, snowmobiling, running and anything else that allows to me to forget the daily grind for a short time and live life to its fullest. Over the course of my life I have run several marathons and enjoyed each one of them for some odd reason. That being said, I have decided to challenge myself by running a 50-mile race. While there is always a great sense of pride in finishing a very long and challenging run I have always felt I could put my efforts to a better use. I have teamed up with the High Fives Non-Profit Foundation that raises money and awareness for athletes that suffer a life altering injury while pursuing a dream in the winter action sports community. These athletes are not unlike myself and their passion has inspired me to run my first ultra marathon for a greater cause beyond personal achievement.and#8221;
