Veteran’s Day Tahoe City: Troop 266 fires 21-gun salute

TAHOE CITY, Calif. and#8212; Veteran’s Day ceremonies conducted by Boy Scout Troop 266 at Trail’s End Cemetery on Nov. 11. Approximately 50 community members and 20 scouts attended. Scouts placed American flags on the gravesites of veterans. The ceremonies included a color guard, rifle squad, and readings on the history of Veteran’s Day, Gettysburg Address and the meaning of the 21-gun salute. A Boy Scout rifle squad fired a 21-gun salute followed by the playing of taps.
