Volleyball video analysis and college recruiting clinic announced
TAHOE/TRUCKEE, Calif. and#8212; Volleyball Video Analysis/Position Training Clinics will be four nights of elite expert training on Mondays Jan. 9, 23, 30 and Feb. 6, 2012. The first two nights will focus on giving each participant instant video analysis and feedback on their volleyball skills. The final two nights will build on the video analysis and emphasize position specific training. The clinics will utilize the new Peak Performance Center which is a portable learning resource that utilizes tablet technology, a dynamic HD flat screen video display, wireless microphone sound, amped music, whiteboards with court diagrams, and more. Participants ages 14 and under play 6-7:30 p.m., while ages 15 to 18 years old are scheduled 7:30-9 p.m. There is a maximum of 14 participants per session. Cost is $139 for all four nights, to take place in the Alder Creek Middle School gym.
The College Recruiting/Make-A-Video Clinic will be Monday, Feb. 13. The first half of the clinic will be an interactive presentation on how high school volleyball athletes can effectively market themselves to colleges.- Participants receive print information that includes a check list and timeline of what to do, instructions on how to make a recruit profile and video, and a list of resources and links. The second half of the clinic will have players in the gym doing skills for their video production. Parents should bring a digital video camera with plenty of SD card storage, a fully charged battery, and a tripod if available. Parents will record the participantand#8217;s skills for their recruit video under direction. The session is 6-9 p.m. Cost is $39.
Both the Volleyball Video Analysis/Position Training Clinics and the College Recruiting/Make-A-Video Clinic will be hosted at Alder Creek Middle School in Truckee. Sessions are open to all volleyball players from any school or club.
All sessions are led by Mike Welch, a 17-year veteran NCAA college head volleyball coach with 267 career wins, six nationally ranked seasons, and five conference championships. During his career he has awarded approximately $2 million in athletic scholarships, which will prove to be great insight into the college recruiting process.

During the college recruiting clinic, I will give first-hand experience in what college coaches are looking for, as well as have personal question and answer opportunities.and#8221;-
