Ward Creek public information meeting in Tahoe City

TAHOE CITY, Calif. and#8212; California State Parks is planning a road and trail project at Ward Creek State Park Unit. The project is funded through the Environmental Improvement Program (EIP) to help reduce the sediment load to Lake Tahoe.

The project will address all the roads and trails within the 179-acre park unit, from complete removal to re-routing and improving trail conditions and construction. Implementation and construction is set to being this summer field season.

State Parks will host a public informational meeting about the project May 18, 5 p.m., Rideout Community Center, 740 Timberland Lane, Tahoe City. Call 530-581-1794 for information.
