West Shore Caf andamp; Inn to host Nordic Olympic Trails fundraiser

HOMEWOOD, Calif. andamp;#8212; The West Shore Caf andamp; Inn invites all to the Nordic Olympic Trails Fundraiser, scheduled for Wednesday, Jan. 11, 6-8 p.m. As part of a full week of Lake Tahoe Olympic Heritage celebrations, the Nordic Olympic Trails Fundraiser contributes to the preservation of the Nordic trails built and designated for the eighth Winter Olympic Nordic events held at what is now the Ed Zandamp;#8217;Berg Sugar Pine Point State Park near Homewood and Homewoodandamp;#8217;s West Shore Caf andamp; Inn. The Nordic Olympic Trails Fundraiser will host a meet-and-greet with past winter Olympic athletes, live music, ski and historic 1960 Olympic memorabilia and a silent auction. Special presenters, including renowned author and Tahoe historian, David Antonucci, as well as members of the Tahoe Cityandamp;#8211;based Gatekeeperandamp;#8217;s Museum, will offer fascinating insight about the Lake Tahoe region and its Olympic roots. The West Shore Caf andamp; Inn will offer guests hors dandamp;#8217;oeuvres from its new winter menu, as well as a no-host bar. Located steps from the slopes of Homewood Mountain Resort, the West Shore Caf andamp; Inn offers a lakefront dining location with seasonal cuisine from Californiaandamp;#8217;s best andamp;#8212; fresh seafood, produce and meats andamp;#8212; prepared to accentuate the inherent flavors of each dish. Tickets to the Nordic Olympic Trails Fundraiser are $35 in advance and $40 at the door. Advance ticket purchase is available at West Shore Sports in Homewood, Granlibakken Resort, North Lake Tahoe Visitor Center, or the Gatekeeperandamp;#8217;s Museum (all located in Tahoe City).
