Kate Vidinsky, with her son, Asher.

TAHOE/TRUCKEE, Calif. — This week’s question: What freedom do you most appreciate as an American?

Here are this week’s responses, as asked over the July 4 weekend in Tahoe City:

Roxanne Ramirez, grocery store clerk, Kings Beach: “There are too many freedoms to pick just one.”

Kate Vidinsky, co-founder of Tales Untold Media, Fairfax, Calif., Tahoe City second homeowner: “The freedom to raise my children to follow their dreams and become whomever they wish to become.”

Steve Weller, physician, San Mateo, Calif.: “The freedom to achieve whatever you strive for.”

Hammond Edwards, self-employed, Dollar Point: “The freedom to vote for our leadership.”
