What’s the buzz in Tahoe City?
During the development of Total Integrated Technique (T.IN.T.), I studied many different therapies from all over the world. One of these therapies is the work of Reinhold Voll, M.D. Dr. Voll conducted exhaustive research into acupuncture and is the founder of Electro-Acupuncture.
More than 3,000 years ago the Chinese recognized there was an energy flow in the body that could be measured and manipulated to achieve healing. Research has proved the existence of the acupuncture meridians, as a distinct system from the nervous, lymphatic or vascular systems.
First exposed to the work of Dr. Voll in 1979, I was impressed with his exhaustive research into the art of acupuncture, acupuncture meridians, acupuncture points and other specific points found on the skin.
Dr. Voll’s research found electrical resistance differences that could be measured, with his device, on the surface of the skin at and around acupuncture points.
Reinhold Voll was born in Berlin, Germany on Feb. 17, 1909. Young Reinhold developed an interest in technology and electronics during his high school years. This interest laid the foundation for his later research in Electro-Acupuncture.
Graduating from high school, he followed in his father’s footsteps as an architect and took up studies at the Technical University of Stuttgart. He soon discovered his passion for medicine and entered the University of Tuebinger and Hamburg.
His medical career began in 1943 with a preventative medicine practice in southern Germany. By 1953 he was developing electronic devices for Electro-Acupuncture, a technique without needles. By 1959 he devoted his medical practice exclusively to this newly developed science. He founded the Association of Electro-Acupuncture in 1956, and instructed more than 120 courses to members from 17 countries.
Dr. Voll’s research identified specific points that correlate closely to our body’s function. These points represent organ systems, immune system, lymphatic system and the body’s ability to regenerate or slow its current state of degeneration.
Voll points are like windows looking into the body. There are 11 points on each foot and 16 points on each hand. These Voll points represent the following:
Pancreas, spleen, liver, stomach, fibroid/degeneration, skin, immune system, gallbladder, kidney and bladder.
Lymph-Throat, Palate; Lymph-Sinus, Tonsil; Lymph-Jaw; Lung; Large Intestine; Nervous systems; Circulation; Allergy/Chemical-Pesticide; Allergy; Cellular Metabolism; Prostate-Uterus; Adrenal-Gonads, Urethra; Endocrine System; Thyroid, Parathyroid, Thymus Hand Points; Pituitary-Pineal; Heart, Small Intestines
Total Integrated Technique allows me to measure these points, diagnose any imbalance and determine the optimum course of treatment.
This examination is accurate and completely non-invasive.
Imbalances of these points always proceed and actual event or condition. Prevention is always better, cheaper and safer than treating disease. Disease is no respecter of person.
The great tragedy of disease occurs to those who err on the side of complacency.

I just read Tom McClintock’s piece about inflation, and I can’t imagine he lives in the same world as I do. In his mind, sustainable (“green”) energy that offsets climate change is “bad policy.” He…
