‘Where the world comes together’ in Kings Beach: Special event to benefit the Boys andamp; Girls Club of North Lake Tahoe

KINGS BEACH, Calif. andamp;#8212; Children from the Boys andamp; Girls Club of North Lake Tahoe and their families are in for a treat. Exclusive Destinations will host andamp;#8220;Where the World Comes Together,andamp;#8221; to inspire interest in global travel and traditions Thursday, Oct. 7, 4:30-7 p.m. at the Bandamp;G Club, 8125 Steelhead Ave., Kings Beach.andamp;#8220;Where the World Comes Togetherandamp;#8221; is part of the eighth annual executive retreat, a collaborative effort from Exclusive Destinations, its global travel partners and incentive industry executives, where philanthropy meets business development. Forty industry representatives from Africa, Spain, South America, Australia, New Zealand, Russia and the United States will take part to entertain and educate about culture and customs of their countries. andamp;#8220;While we all look forward to coming together at Executive Retreat each year to work on professional and personal growth, the most exciting part is the corporate social responsibility (CSR) component,andamp;#8221; said Lynda Baum, president of Exclusive Destinations. This yearandamp;#8217;s program will feature a World Cup Obstacle Course, Cookie Flag Decorating, World Coin Bingo and more.Activities will highlight music from all over the world and computer time devoted to learning about various cultures. Each child participant will receive a andamp;#8220;passport,andamp;#8221; which will be stamped as they experience each activity and complete their journey around the world. The Executive Retreat will take place Oct. 6-8 at The Ritz-Carlton Highlands, Lake Tahoe. It will feature, in addition to the CSR component, a variety of business conferences devoted to personal and professional development including strategic business discussions, management sessions and unique exercises.
