TAHOE CITY, Calif. – Willard’s Sport Shop is hosting a grand re-opening party Saturday, June 2 in Tahoe City. Formerly known as Squaw Valley Sports Shop this family run business is entering its 34th year with a new name. The Willard family recently remodeled the 170 North Lake Blvd. at the Tahoe City “Y” and welcome visitors to join them beginning at 9 a.m. There will be a raffle, free food and drinks, and free demo stand-up paddleboards by Surf Tech, Wai Sup, and NSP. Refreshments will be provided by As You Wish Catering.

During the summer months Willard’s will offer stand-up paddleboards and tours, rafts, river and boat tubes, kayaks and bike rentals. In the wintertime the shop will turn to ski and boarding with a new state-of-the art tuning machine. They will offer leading brands and a new children’s ski leasing program.

The Willard family is excited about getting involved with the local Tahoe City community as well as development of collaborative tours with Tahoe’s first inhabitants, the Native Washoe People.
