Willful Teen? The North Tahoe Family Resource Center to present Parent Project

Special to the Sun

KINGS BEACH, Calif. – Because the tougher it gets to be a kid … the tougher it gets to be a parent. Sidestep arguments and conflicts at home; improve school attendance and performance; prevent, recognize or intervene in alcohol/drug use and/or gang activity; address threats of violence or running away; motivate and influence teens; and stop parent-child arguments. Learn how to “out-will: a strong-willed child” through the Parent Project. The seven-week English program will begin Feb. 13, Wednesdays, 6-8 p.m. at the North Tahoe Family Resource Center, 8321 Steelhead Ave., Kings Beach. Classes are facilitated by parents accredited by the National Parent Project Program. The fee is $20 per family (includes workbook and refreshments). Limited scholarships available for financial need. Space is guaranteed upon registration and payment.
