TRUCKEE, Calif. and#8212; Join Bikram Yoga Sierra and enjoy the intense warmth of the Bikram Yoga studio. This is the perfect time of year to begin or breathe new life into your yoga practice. Open to the public, these Karma Classes donate every single penny to the community.

Drop-in classes are available Tuesday evenings, 6: 30 p.m. at the Truckee studio, 11090 Trails End Road, off of Pioneer Trail, for a donation of $8. During November and December, your donation will be given to Project MANA to help put food on the table of many neighbors in need. Also during December, if you donate a gently-used winter coat or donate an item of canned food, you will receive 10 percent off any class package purchase. Clothing and food products will also be distributed locally.

As an added bonus, attending any class at Bikram Yoga Sierra during the next few months may give you a chance to practice alongside students who are currently training to compete in the Northern California Regional Yoga Championships set for January 2012. These folks are working hard to ready themselves for competition, and each day bring inspiration to their fellow yogis by demonstrating advanced postures. Get hot and be inspired!
