Word on the Street: What healthy eating practices do you practice during the holiday season?

Anto Slack

CARNELIAN BAY, Calif. — This week’s Word on the Street question is, “What healthy eating practices do you practice during the holiday season?”

Here are answers, as asked Monday in Carnelian Bay.

Anto Slack, Gar Woods employee, Carnelian Bay: “A lot of skiing and working out and moderation when it comes to sweets.”

Michael Mihaly, ski bum, Carnelian Bay: “You need to juice raw vegetables — and don’t forget to throw some fruit into your tequila.”

Casey Gregorich, guest relations supervisor, Tahoe Vista: “I tend to eat more healthy during my breakfast and lunch and then kind of splurge during holiday dinners.”

Joe Nicholas, retired, Carnelian Bay: “None.”
